County noise ordinances require that the DJ stop playing music at 11pm.
Why can't we dance until midnight?
Song requests can be submitted HERE prior to prom night. The DJ will be accepting song requests the night of Prom this year as well.
Can I request certain songs?
Yes, the DJ will play a variety of songs including some slow dances.
Are there couples dances?
You can come to the CCHP if you are a homeschool student who is at least 15 years old by May 3rd (prom night), and not older than 21. Also, you can come if you are a homeschool alumni (meaning you graduated from your homeschool) who is at least 15 years old and not older than 21. You can also come if you are/were not homeschooled but are the guest of a homeschool student or alum, AND you are also at least 15 years old and not older than 21.
Who can come to the prom?
Please see the Guidelines section above to read our Prom Attire Guidelines. Basically, this is a formal, dressy event and the attire worn by all attendees should reflect that. Attendees are expected to arrive in tasteful, appropriate Prom attire.
Our Prom organizers do have the authority to turn away anyone who, in their opinion, does not meet that standard.
Is there a dress code?
Yes, table reservations will be accepted from April 1-25. One STUDENT (a person registered for prom) may send an email with a list of student names with email addresses of up to 10 people who want to sit together. The CCHP Committee will verify requests and confirm the seat reservation. Table requests may be made for 2 - 10 people, with the exception of 9. An email will be sent to all registered students in late March or early April with details on how to proceed.
Will I be able to reserve a seat?
We are excited to bring SPIN as our Prom DJ for our 10th anniversary year! He will be playing a variety of great dance music, both old and new and from various genres - there should be something to suit everyone! Since this is a dance for high school students, the DJ will play clean, radio versions.
What kind of music will be played?
Parents are allowed to stay for the first 30 minutes to take pictures. We then ask parents to leave until pick-up time. The event will be supervised by our chaperones.
Are parents allowed to stay?
No. We are planning the prom to be a wonderful, fun night for everyone, whether you are coming alone, with a group of friends, or with a date.
Do I have to bring a date?
That is a very sweet request, but if your dad is older than 21, then he cannot attend prom as your escort.
Can my dad escort me to prom?
The chaperones for CCHP are trusted adults who are chosen early in the planning process. You may send a request to the Prom Planning Committee firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and contact information, and we will contact you if the need arises.
